Minimum of a high school education or GED

Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred

1 to 2 years of experience in material handling

Advanced and Lead positions require additional experience with automated and/or electronic inventory systems and direct supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory potential

High School diploma or GED equivalent; or equivalent combinations of training and experience

Assist apprentices and journeymen with various tasks

Perform all manners of manual labor

Perform physically demanding tasks, such as digging trenches to lay conduit

The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos

Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.

Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.

Inventories materials on work floor/production line, and supply workers with materials as needed.

Loads or unloads materials in accordance with load sheets or other appropriate directives.

Records materials loaded and unloaded in accordance with established procedure.

Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.

Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.

6+ month’s prior experience operating a forklift.

Documents materials unloaded and taken off trucks.

Perform inventory related and/or coil hanging functions as needed based on the facility’s individual requirements.

Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the supervisor/manager.

Experience with Microsoft Applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).

Must maintain corrected vision and meet all requirements to operate a PIT as outlined by regulatory commissions

Operate a Powered Industrial Truck to move or load products, materials etc. safely.

Adhere to all safety specifications including stacking heights, seat belt use, speed limits, signage etc.

Any other tasks assigned by Management.

Assist Management with any other tasks.

Must have regular, reliable attendance, and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
