Forestry Technicians are responsible for a variety of tasks related to the management and protection of forests and other natural resources. These tasks include:

• Monitoring and assessing the health of forests, including conducting surveys and collecting data
• Developing and implementing management plans for forests
• Assisting with the development of forest management plans
• Assisting with the implementation of forest management activities
• Assisting with the enforcement of forestry regulations
• Assisting with the development of educational and outreach programs
• Assisting with the development of research projects
• Assisting with the development of forest inventories
• Assisting with the development of forest fire prevention and suppression plans
• Assisting with the development of timber sale plans
