The Forensic Services Technician will perform skilled technical work in a variety of criminal investigative environments.

Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Laboratory and familiarization with the program requirements for Forensic Toxicology and Blood Alcohol Labs

Knowledge and experience in preparing and validating standards

Experience isolating, separating, and identifying analytes (qualitatively or quantitatively) from various matrices, including biological fluids.

Experience with Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Liquid Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometer (LC/MS), and Gas Chromatograph with Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID) instruments

Certification(s) in drug chemistry or toxicology from other recognized and accepted forensic certifying organizations

Recommend improvements in methodology and equipment to management;

Applicants must fully complete the summary of experience to determine if minimum qualifications are met.

One year experience performing friction ridge comparisons (ten-print or latent print) may substitute for the major requirement.

Ambulatory skills, e.g. stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch;

Testing: Candidates for hire will be required to take and pass tests associated with pattern matching skills.
