Forensic Data Analyst Jobs

Obtain and retain forensic certifications and forensic extraction techniques and best practices

At least 2 years of Law Enforcement intelligence gathering and investigations experience is required

Digital Forensics experience is desired

Ability to obtain and/or retain basic and advanced forensic certifications to include logical and physical data extractions and chip-off techniques

Forensic extraction techniques and best practices certifications are desired (MSAB, Cellebrte, etc.)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and smart sheet.

Prior experience performing similar duties in an accredited forensic toxicology laboratory.

Applying accounting, financial, and analytical skills to various client situations and practice disciplines;

1-3 years' experience in digital forensics or cybersecurity with digital forensics training.

Working Knowledge of common data acquisition techniques, i.e., dead box vs live image capture.

Has entry level cybersecurity focused certification, (Sec +, GSEC, CND, etc).

Working knowledge of enterprise architecture and detection technologies (AV, EDR, IDS/IPS, Firewall, etc), and familiarity with their associated logging mechanisms.

BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Business, Math or in other business-related fields.

2 years of paralegal experience in the DA’s Office or another law enforcement agency is preferred.

Demonstrated experience with law enforcement investigations and understanding of search and seizure are a plus

Proven critical thinking skills and a willingness to learn.

Knowledge of principles, methods, equipment, and current techniques utilized in a forensic DNA laboratory.

Attains and maintains proficiency in accordance with laboratory accreditation requirements and FBI Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.

Two years of crime laboratory analysis experience may be substituted for the training program.

Quality Assurance Standard audit experience.

Completion of ANAB assessor training or ANAB assessor experience.

Knowledge of remote acquisition methodology.
