You have foundational project management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Bachelor's degree in food science, nutrition, or closely related field with at least 5 years of relevant progressive experience

Master's degree in food science, nutrition, or closely related field with at least 3 years of relevant progressive experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Interaction with internal departments and outside vendors as projects dictate.

Supports development of technical capabilities of domestic vendors of ingredients.

Fundamental knowledge of at least one branch of the sciences.

Ability to apply scientific knowledge to confectionery technology (including mogul depositing technology).

5-10 years’ experience in food industry or related field

Prior candy experience strongly preferred

Collaborate with x-functions team and translate system/components requirement into silicon requirement.

Relevant research experience in the fields of imaging/display system or silicon development.

Experience of modeling techniques, circuit simulation, HW prototyping or FPGA setup and programing.

Experience with programming tools and languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, Python.

Perform quantitative evaluations through the use of circuit simulation, modeling, FPGA , prototyping HWs for validating architecture options.

Develop innovative silicon solutions to solve issues or enable new imaging/display/sensing technologies.

Excellent analytical and statistical skills, strong attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ensures all proper documentation is done accurately and on schedule.

Fosters an innovation culture by continually introducing ideas and product concepts for new product, quality improvements and productivity.

Creates, designs, supervises the development of new experimental protocols/best practices required to validate product concepts and prototypes.

Can handle multiple projects and prioritize them based on business objectives and timelines.

Four year degree or equivalent experience

A performance driven individual who demonstrates strong initiative and has superior leadership skills

Ability to manage large sets and interpret data

Demonstrated planning, organization, and decision-making skills

Applies scientific principles in research, development, production, technology, quality control, packaging and processing of nutritionally designed foods and dietary supplements.

Conducts basic nutrition research for the development of programs to support product utilization.

Excellent analytical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

Requires knowledge of the product development process from idea generation, bench top, scale up and commercialization.

Ability to influence necessary cross functional partners for successful implementation of projects. Requires clear written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of ingredients including functionality, allergen considerations and cost.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Documents all development work accurately. This includes written documentation of lab work, product showing, and plant trials with minimal guidance.
