What Patient Care Assistant, PCA

Performs emergency housekeeping as needed.

Strips floors and refinishes floors as needed.

Keeps janitor closets neat and clean.

Keeps mops and other supplies clean after each use.

Stores equipment in proper areas.

Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper

Uses floor buffer or extractor to clean hallway, dining room, and common area floors daily

Uses floor stripper to remove wax as needed and cleans, re-applies wax according to cleaning schedule

Candidates with experience as a Floor Technician

Candidate with working knowledge of proper floor cleaning procedures and a knowledge of floor machines necessary to perform assigned tasks.

Organization and Implementation skills are a must, ability to follow assigned cleaning schedules and periodical work.

Experience helpful, but not necessary. Willing to train the right candidate.
