Fixed Income Senior Associate Jobs

Work with senior analysts to develop additional quantitative and analytical tools to enhance security selection and portfolio management.

BA degree and a strong desire to work in asset management

Manage and run various security valuation, portfolio and index positioning and performance-related reports, as well as related databases.

Work on miscellaneous market and security valuation projects with the portfolio manager and senior analysts.

Strong preference for advanced Excel modeling skills with proficiency in VBA; Bloomberg proficiency a plus

1-3 years of buy-side or sell-side experience required

Proven financial services experience and a strong understanding of the asset management industry and capital markets, particularly in fixed income.

Working knowledge of Aladdin, or other investment management tools, an advantage.

Disciplined organization skills, including time management and project prioritization.

Work alongside Senior Product Strategists and Portfolio Managers and to represent the securitized assets platform to internal stakeholders.

Support and collaborate with the fund managers and other strategists across fixed income and firm wide.

Growing knowledge of global economics and interest in current affairs and events.

Prepare and analyze depreciation forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management.

Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to management to optimize fixed asset utilization and minimize costs.

Establish and maintain internal controls related to fixed asset accounting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

3+ years experience in fixed asset accounting preferred

Lease accounting experience a plus

Excellent analytical and organizational skills; ability to prioritize key competing projects

Participate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investments

Stay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industry

3+ years of experience and proven success in conducting investment research on asset managers that provide equity or fixed income strategies

Make well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to complete these

Work closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams and tailor investment solutions to our global clients

Document research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring with well-prepared reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioning

You have a strong desire to continue to develop bottom-up fundamental credit research skills working in partnership with experienced investment professionals.

You have a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, STEM or a relevant field of study.

Data and portfolio integrity management

Portfolio construction, execution and management of trades for developed market interest rate strategies

Prior experience in Corporate Actions, Proxy, Class Actions, or Data Management is required

Evaluating defaulted securities notifications and obtaining proper adjustments from Portfolio Management

Collaborating with internal colleagues in their Portfolio Management, Credit Research, Legal & Compliance, Account Management, and IMS Operations teams

Bloomberg skills and exposure or hands-on experience with SQL, VBA, and Python.

Supervising reviews of corporate action events through reporting discussed with internal and external constituents

Guaranteeing all aspects of voluntary, proxy, and class action events are thoroughly and accurately completed prior to deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and experience with interacting with senior management, investment professionals and clients

Exceptional organizational and task/project management skills. Ability to manage multiple people and priorities to specific deliverable timelines

Actively participate in training, career development and management of junior analysts in both rotational and full-time roles

About PGIM – Global Asset Management

Regularly engage with portfolio managers, portfolio analysts and desk heads to discuss risk aspects of portfolio positioning

Manage client/portfolio onboarding and account maintenance including coordination with Client Advisors, Client Onboarding, Compliance, Portfolio Analysts and Portfolio Managers, as necessary
