Fire Patrol Watch Jobs

Must follow ALL OSHA, company and job site safety rules.

Must wear a watch with a breakaway band.

Must wear proper work attire (steel toe boots, jeans with no holes, t-shirts with 3" sleeves - no white or v-neck).

Must have guaranteed transportation to and from work.

Must be able to work at elevated heights.

Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs and occasional ladders.

Follow the conditions and requirements specified on the Marine Chemist certificate and Hot Work safety permit.

Associate’s degree in related field or 2 years of security guard, military, or firefighting experience and high school diploma/GED

2+ years of supervisory experience

Knowledge and use of handheld radio communication.

Supervise daily workflow, schedules, activities, and assignments of staff in conjunction with site leadership

Evaluate staff performance; work with employees to correct deficiencies or behavioral issues; implement disciplinary procedures.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

· Must possess great communication skills as well as customer service skills.

· Control Access to designated areas.

· Secure assigned post locations.

· “Observe and Report” all incidents and accidents. Confront and resolve incidents to successful conclusion.

· Be diligent and vigilant in security and safety awareness.

· Foot patrol and Fix post.

Ability to verbally communicate directions from craft supervisors, and respond to questions from managers and fellow workers.

Recognize materials used to construct, fabricate, modify and secure steel bars and mesh using various fasteners.

Pull, push, or pry iron and steel equipment into place.

Assist Journeyman with cutting, bending, and welding iron and steel pieces using metal shears and welding equipment.

Prepares and aligns structures by positioning steel girders, bolting or other permanent set up.

Shapes materials to prescribed measurements, using saws, chisels, and planes.

Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Safety / Fire plan.

Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Hot work, and other permits.

A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant industry experience

Be aware of fire hazards on the jobsite while work is performed by contractors.

Keep flammable materials from ignition sources.
