Must live or relocate to within 40 minute drive of Miamisburg, OH office.

Direct supervision of Fire Inspectors

Define goals, communicate objectives, monitor team performance, and provide a vision

Must be enrolled at EKU

Must currently be enrolled in or have passed FSE 101.

Have a valid driver's license.

90% - Inspecting fire extinguishers around the EKU campus - (Essential)

10% - Conducting general testing and maintenance to fire extinguishers. - (Essential)

Preferred minimum of five years of service industry experience managing service operations and/or service scheduling.

Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently and demonstrate solid organizational and attention to detail skills.

Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.

Experience and/or basic project accounting or costing principles is desired.

Associates degree preferred, high school diploma or equivalent require

Able to prioritize work activities based upon financial impact to desired business goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to effectively communicate with Avonix employees, customers and members of management in a professional manner

Must have ability to pass NAS 410 level II test when hours and requirements are complete

Strong computer skills including MS office

2- or 4-year degree in nondestructive testing, physics or other related field or equivalent experience

Maintains and updates Plant Condition Management Software inspection database and determines inspection dates and criteria.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Good working knowledge of basic business principles including finance and accounting.

Associate degree in engineering &/or equivalent years of experience.

Insure the quality of the optical products by using metrology skills.

Skilled with optical metrology equipment.

Skilled in visually inspecting parts for defects.

Optics handling skills to prevent scratches and defects.

Previous experience in particular industry, especially in educational setting preferred.

Achieve quarterly sales quotas and total annual individual sales goal.

Develop Relationships: Networking, attend clients industry associations meetings and network events.

Schedule Appointments: CRM, Pipe Drive, Microsoft.

3 years of applicable experience.

Interpret & apply accept/reject standards for parts and assemblies (goods).

Assist in the development of accept/reject standards.

Direct non-conforming goods for subsequent disposition.

Time management skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Fixed gas detection experience preferred.

Notifier fire alarm systems experience & FAL (Active Texas Fire Alarm License or equivalent) preferred.

Candidate will possess adequate knowledge of NFPA, including applicable state and local code

Candidate must possess excellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.

Minimum 5-10+ years’ experience with fixed/pre-engineered extinguishing systems, fire extinguisher installation, maintenance, repair, testing, tagging (FEL-A)

Knowledge of applicable codes (State, NFPA, etc.)

Perform Annual Inspections on portable, wheeled and fixed fire extinguishers to NFPA 10

Perform Annual Inspections of Suppression Systems to NFPA 17, 17A, 96 & 2001

Ability to test and recharge fire extinguishers
