Fiber Optic Network Product Manager Jobs

Working knowledge of Outside Plant fiber cable installation practices, both UG and ADSS.

Working knowledge of GIS mapping.

Working knowledge of telecommunications concepts associated with the design and installation of single mode fiber systems.

Working knowledge of typical standards and practices used within telecommunications buildings and rooms.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Effective computer skills including AutoCad LT and Microsoft Office Products

Provide technical expertise to peers and management as a subject matter expert (SME) in your field.

Expert knowledge of fiber characteristic testing techniques and requirements.

Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensure quality delivery on schedule.

Develop less senior project managers through direct support and mentoring efforts.

Prepare all reports and close out documents per job requirements.

Strong ability to accurately estimate labor effort and material requirements.

You have 1-2+ years experience in product management roles building and launching successful online products.

Define product requirements and specifications to ensure successful product delivery.

Manage the product backlog, including prioritization and refinement.

You have experience with some facet of adtech or the ecosystem around it.

You are an effective presenter & writer, and use these skills to influence large groups with conflicting priorities.

You are able to quickly shift between responsibilities that demand longer term strategic vision and immediate tactical decisions/work

Manage of winch, pulleys and/ or rigging.

Minimum experience of 2 year in laying and installation of fiber cabling aerial optics.

Minimum 2 year experience in electrical work.

Lay aerial and/or underground optical fiber (Pulling cable).

Climb poles, and perform work at beight on a bucket truck, steel pole grip climber and ladder.

Identify aerial fiber supplies, tools and equipment.

Perform skilled troubleshooting from the Main Distribution Frame (MDF) to the demarcation point including CPE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

One to two years in the telecommunications industry or related experience

Compensation $20-28.00 Per Hour depending on experience.

80% of Medical premiums paid for by the company

Minimum of 1 year experience in similar role or telecommunications/fiber construction, maintenance, and splicing

Experience working from bucket truck and climbing poles preferred

If no degree a minimum of 5 years of OSP Engineer experience is required.

Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) experience is preferred.

Aptitude to learn various FOCUS Broadband systems and Microsoft programs, including Adobe Acrobat.

Assist with construction coordination throughout FOCUS Broadband’s service area with tact and professionalism while providing FOCUS Broadband’s top-notch customer service.

Understanding of FTTP brownfield or greenfield

Prepares and assists in all transition phases between existing and newly constructed plant facilities.

Identifies and develops key partnerships both internally and externally through vendor relationship management.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related experience

Extensive experience with and knowledge of telecommunications network infrastructure especially including access network technology

Extensive experience with and knowledge of telecommunications engineering and design

Strong financial acumen with an intimate knowledge of corporate finance

Manages the Mass Markets access network technology portfolio in partnership with architecture, engineering, planning, and network implementation teams
