FEMA Public Assistance Specialists are responsible for providing technical assistance to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments, as well as certain private non-profit organizations, in the areas of disaster recovery and mitigation. They are responsible for providing guidance and assistance in the development of projects and programs to help communities recover from disasters.
