Assistant Professor – Fashion Design

Master’s degree or professional, high-level fashion industry experience and training that equates to a graduate degree
Significant professional/industry executive experience exceeding eight years in lieu of advanced degree
Evident experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student
Intermediate skills in Excel and presentation software, and adept at speaking to large audiences
Exceptional communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal
International experiences to bring an understanding of other cultures to the classroom

The Fashion Design Intern will be responsible for assisting the fashion designer or fashion house with the design process. This includes researching trends, sketching designs, and helping to create prototypes. The intern will also be responsible for attending meetings, taking notes, and helping to create presentations. Additionally, the intern will be expected to help with the production process, including fabric selection, pattern making, and garment construction.
