The successful candidate is expected to develop, implement, evaluate and report a nationally recognized extension program in Family Consumer Sciences, with emphasis on fashion design/merchandising, and youth, adults and family development, specifically summer experiential activities to engage youths. The candidate is also expected to teach undergraduate level courses, mentor and advise undergraduate students. Selected candidate is also expected to seek external funds to support teaching, research and extension programs; build new relationships with industry and the community; assist in curriculum development, review and improvement; participate in student recruitment and in departmental, college and university activities
Qualification:
Candidates must have earned a Master degree in textiles and fashion design with at least five years of industry experience. Preference will be given to a candidate with PhD degree. Candidate must be competent in Fashion or textiles design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Optitex: Fashion Design software such as: 2D/3D CAD/CAM, CAD or smart fashion and textile design. Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work with diverse students, faculty and families.
