They may work in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, community centers, and government agencies. Detailed Job Description Family Services Specialists are responsible for providing support and guidance to families in need. They work with families to identify and address their needs, provide resources and assistance, and help them develop strategies to improve their lives. They may provide individual and family counseling, coordinate services, and refer families to appropriate resources. They may also provide crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy services. Family Services Specialists may also provide education and training to families and community members. Job Skills Required
