POSITION: Associate, Public Markets (manager research)

Help managing and screening deal flow

Interacting with clients and supporting the team in a variety of aspects

Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills including liability management

Experience in leveraged and project financing markets, with experience across the capital structure (securitizations, asset backed financing, etc.)

Partner with Apollo Infrastructure, Natural Resources, and Climate to target portfolio company financing opportunities

Work with deals teams to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal capital structures for each new investment

Attend all investment committee meetings to help generate idea flow and client targeting

Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.

Supports change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.

Operates within position and loss limits as prudent management of the Bank’s exposure.

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field of study is required.

Minimum of 3 years of related work experience is required.

Proven analytical skills with the ability to easily handle and present financial data.

Must have experience supporting the equity markets.

Experience working with data from various sources including but not limited to Bloomberg, FactSet, and Reuters.

Proven ability to develop relationships with a wide variety of industry participants including portfolio managers, analysts, and “C-suite” level executives.

Project management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.

Coordinating project due diligence in support of project finance transactions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project development, engineering, and finance to evaluate and structure solar project finance deals.

Knowledge of renewable energy development and financial modeling.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

3 years professional experience, with at least 1 year of which is in the renewable energy industry.

3+ years of experience in Investment Banking or Global Capital Markets.

Provide complex financial analysis, and develop appropriate corporate finance solutions;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Series licensing or must obtain.

A high level of motivation and commitment to working hard, along with a deep intellectual curiosity;

A team-first attitude with a desire to develop junior team members;

Support portfolio management of existing investments through the budgeting process. Liaise with other team members, and coordinate cash calls to investors.

Support and manage project finance transactions, including construction debt, term debt, tax equity, and cash equity investments.

3-4 years of experience in finance, banking, consulting, or related field.

1-2 years of offshore wind experience in development or finance.

Project finance, corporate finance, or M&A transaction experience, preferably in the renewables or energy sectors.

Manage due diligence and closing process for financing transactions including coordination with internal teams and external financial partners.

Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills; prior capital markets or sales expertise is a plus

Develop deep relationships with network of venture capital, growth equity, private equity, asset manager, hedge fund and other institutional investors

A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution.

An execution oriented mindset, exceptional organizational skills and understanding of transaction cycles

Help issuer clients refine marketing strategy for maximal impact with key investor groups

Drive marketing processes including communicating with both issuers and investors to achieve best client outcomes

2-5 years of ETF capital markets industry experience or related finance industry experience.

Provide customized services to help clients have a positive experience trading, both on their purchases and sales of Franklin ETFs:

Ability to learn quickly and communicate ETF knowledge. Comfortable delivering ETF knowledge to clients acting as an institutional salesperson.

1-3 years of related investment banking experience

2-5 years of experience working at a leading sponsor, investor/lender, or advisor in power/infrastructure/real estate. Utility-scale renewable energy experience preferred.
