Job Description The Environmental Health Specialist II is responsible for providing technical assistance and support in the areas of environmental health and safety. This includes conducting inspections, investigations, and surveys to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Environmental Health Specialist II will also provide technical assistance to local, state, and federal agencies, as well as to the public. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and standards
• Ability to interpret and apply regulations and standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
• Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing techniques
• Knowledge of hazardous materials management
• Knowledge of environmental management systems
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessment
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, environmental science, or related field
• At least two years of experience in environmental health and safety
• Certification as an Environmental Health Specialist (EHS) or equivalent
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and standards
• Knowledge of environmental sampling and testing techniques
• Knowledge of hazardous materials management
• Knowledge of environmental management systems
• Knowledge of environmental impact assessment
