Utilize ARL’s Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) software (Teamcenter) to properly archive and perform configuration management of all design documentation

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply.

Assist research engineering programs needing mechanical design support by collaborating with R&D engineers and engineering support specialists

Participate in meetings and design reviews

Collaborate to address design, material, and component needs; assist in the resolution of issues

Prior experience in engineering, design and construction, architectural a plus.

Communicates on all platforms, Slack, Zoom, Text, Write-ups, Emails, In-person and Remotely.

Responsible for assisting engineers with CAD and Revit drawings, schedules, reports, and code research.

Work under the design team for the production of the company’s deliverables.

Assist with field surveys, assessment, studies, and research.

Prepare agendas, minutes, technical reports and correspondence.

Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.

Create and maintain various drawings to reflect evolving Program, Customer and/or Engineering requirements.

Assist Sales and Engineering with innovative solutions for custom requirements.

Experience with business aircraft cabin design and development.

Evaluate customer requirements and provides recommendations related to the design.

Develop detailed aircraft interior layout drawings from written customer specifications.

You will be a designer of hardware systems and components that will deliver the features and experiences that customers love.

5+ years of experience in an automotive product development environment.

3+ years of experience designing in Catia V5, or V6.

1+ years of experience designing in Dassault 3DX.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 25 regulatory requirements.

4. Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system authorizing parts and end-to-end management of Engineering changes

4. Create and resolve engineering change notices utilizing Product Life Cycle Management (PLM).

2. Experience making wire harness diagrams with Creo Schematics

3. Experience with hands on wire harness prototyping and physical mock-up support to confirm virtual 3D design

Location: Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (onsite work only)

7. Work with other designers, design engineers, and suppliers assigned to department projects with CAD support.

Relies on experience and judgement for design, development, implementation, and analysis of engineering designs and systems.

Experience and proficiency in Creo

Experience making wire harness diagrams

Experience with hands on wire harness

Acquire knowledge, understanding, and requirements to communicate electronically conceptual product design with other IndustrialDesigners.

Work with other designers to develop preliminary product concepts on potential new products or features.

Work to develop a basic understanding of the Outdoor Power Equipment category, including the competitive landscape and physical user needs.

Provide higher level Industrial Designers support as necessary.

Maintain effective channels of communication with ID team personnel.

One or more years of 3D SolidWorks design experience

An engineering degree or an additional year of 3D SolidWorks design experience

Pay is $50,000 to $80,000

Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
