An EMS Dispatcher is responsible for receiving and responding to emergency medical service (EMS) calls. They must be able to quickly assess the situation and determine the best course of action. They must also be able to coordinate with other emergency services, such as police and fire departments, to ensure the safety of the public. They must be able to provide pre-arrival instructions to callers, such as how to perform CPR or how to control bleeding. They must also be able to provide medical advice to callers, such as how to treat minor injuries. They must be able to accurately document all calls and provide detailed reports to supervisors.
