Minimum of four (4) years supervisory/management experience

Manage overall cost of the benefit program and keeps administration informed of the program’s performance.

Administer employee benefits programs such as health, dental, long/short term disability, life insurance, retirement plans, flexible spending account, etc.

Research, analyze, design, recommend and implement new benefits programs or changes to existing programs.

Determine and coordinate methods of self-insurance and/or the purchase of benefit/insurance products.

Bachelor's degree AND six (6) years of related experience

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsible for the timely payment of all risk management insurance premiums.

Advises outside departments on driver requirements after reviewing the Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR) in order to lower the colleges liability.

Coordinates the health wellness & benefits fair (vendors) and personal health assessment screening events. Plans yearly wellness.

Serves as a member of and staff support for the College’s Employees Benefits Committee.

Assists with and organizes employee focused services such as employee orientations, retirement benefit planning and insurance enrollments.

Responsible for management of selected vendors, brokers, and administrative partners in support of our benefits and wellness programs.

Project management skills and/or credentials, with the ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines

Working knowledge of union multi-employer plans and/or benefits experience in a union environment is a plus.

Manages benefit plan audit process including non-discrimination testing.

Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, industry standard HRIS systems and benefit databases

Ability to effectively manage remote staff

Strong knowledge of group insurance and risk management principles and strategies, retirement plans, COBRA, and leave of absence programs.

Solid knowledge of benefit-related laws, regulations, and best practices.

Oversees new hire benefit enrollment and orientation sessions, as well as departing employee benefit program transitions.

Supervises maintenance of records including enrollment, application, and claims inquiries for all benefit plans.

Participates in appropriate internal committees and provides benefits-related support and advice.

Stays current with benefits laws, regulations and trends and advises leadership on the potential impact on the Firm and benefit plans.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or the equivalent in education and/or related experience

Experience in a large employer setting with complex and varied benefit programs and policies

Process benefit plan enrollments and terminations in compliance with AHS policy, IRS section 125 guidelines and benefit plan documents

Process all ACA related offers of medical coverage; update employees upon coverage termination

Two years’ experience in support of employer-sponsored group health and welfare programs in a Human Resources team environment

Develop & implement standard quality metrics & reporting for periodic review with Senior Management.

People Management - Manage/lead diverse combinations of frontline direct and matrixed resources.

Customer Acquisition QA & Training Leader, Employee Benefits (Remote)

5+ years of relatable industry experience

Functional knowledge of overarching business dynamics and Customer Life Cycle, including Broker/Distribution, Underwriting, Product Development and Case Implementation
