Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current EMT standards of care, including equipment function and use.

High school diploma or general educations degree (GED)

State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician Basic Certification

CPR Certification (American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers)

Competency in Basic Life Support skills as defined by State, Medical Director(s) and Medical Standard.

Able to apply basic knowledge of stress response and methods to ensure personal well‐being.

Opening and maintaining an airway

Addressing general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies and psychological crises.

Identifying assessment findings that may require communicating with on-call provider for guidance.

Providing ongoing assessment of resident and administer additional care while awaiting additional EMS resources.

Verbally reporting observations and emergency medical care rendered to the responding EMS unit.

Maintains a thorough working knowledge of current EMT standards of care, including equipment function and use.

Maintains a thorough working knowledge of local geography, including mapping, street, and grid book systems.

High school diploma or general educations degree (GED)

State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician Basic Certification

CPR Certification (American Heart Association, BLS for Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers)

Competency in Basic Life Support skills as defined by State, Medical Director(s) and Medical Standard.

Knowledge of Florida safety requirements and privileges when responding to non-emergency and emergency calls.

Acquires, manages, and protects privileged health information in accordance with federal and state laws, and county policies.

A Florida Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification.

Knowledge of Florida traffic and driving regulations.

Skilled in the defensive driving of an emergency transport vehicle.

Skilled in electronic patient care reporting, electrocardiogram transmission, wired and wireless computer networks, two-way radios, and cellular devices.

Relevant local/state EMT or Paramedic Certification.

Six months of related experience providing BLS patient care excluding volunteer work.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Provide emergency medical care to ambassadors and park guests, teaches safety and prevention, and provides care for workers compensation cases.

Assesses injuries or illness, administers appropriate treatment and complete paperwork for ambassadors and guests.

Administer ongoing care to ambassadors with workers compensation injuries.
