Elementary School Kitchen Lead Jobs

Experience in high-volume food preparation and serving is desired. School kitchen experience is preferred.

Ability to report to work on time and notify manager at the earliest possible time when unable to work.

Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, and appliances, machines, and other equipment. Perform general cleaning duties in the kitchen.

Serve prepared food to students.

Adjust to change in a dynamic environment, maintaining productivity while handling other essential tasks as assigned.

Interact positively with students, building staff, and supervisors.

Hold a valid Food Handler certification

Support pool manager in preparation of swimming events and coordination of pool rental activities

Minimum of 2 years of experience in institutional, building custodial work

Coordinate, supervise and assist in set up furniture for school and facility rentals

Assign equipment, materials and supplies; order and maintain an inventory of cleaning materials and supplies

Keep records and prepare reports of work accomplished and materials used

Meet and confer with school personnel regarding custodian activities

Demonstrate solid knowledge of the concepts in each of the disciplines taught.

Monitor students in a variety of educational environments (e.g. classroom, cafeteria, playground, school grounds, hallways, restrooms, field trips, etc.)

Collaborate with special education, ELL and teaching assistants (when applicable).

Manage any Teaching Assistants or Paraprofessionals in the classroom.

Gradually release classroom and professional responsibilities to the TR

DC Teaching certification, passing of relevant Praxis exams, or equivalent evidence to be considered highly qualified.

Safe Knife Handling skills and ability to work with other kitchen equipment.

4 years of previous experience

State Sexual Harassment Training and Certification

Ensure all workstations are set up properly.

Ensure food is prepared and executed in a timely manner.

Ability to adjust and assist in various stations to maintain food execution in a timely manner.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted or 70 lbs with assistance.

Be able to comprehend basic English.

Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Follow all rules, regulations, policies and procedures for the property area and assist in protecting and safeguarding all property assets.

Perform the day-to-day operations of the Food and Beverage department as assigned. .

Must oversee/maintain the daily operations of kitchens/carts/catering events.

Monitor and uphold all safety and health regulations.

Must assist the Food Service Supervisor in creating and maintaining department work schedules.
