7+ years of experience in educational program management, staff supervision, nonprofit work environments and mentorship.

Previous experience with education planning, program scheduling, program evaluation, curriculum development, partnership building, database entry, and public speaking

Is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating all program staff, including a Program Manager, Program Coordinator and all Outdoor Instructors

Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail

Guide, mentor, coach, and train youth on workforce development skills, goal-setting, college preparation, public speaking, and leadership

Experience designing and leading hands-on science and nature activities

Experience working in an informal learning environment, such as a museum, zoo, aquarium, library, summer camp, afterschool, or outdoor school

Wilderness First Aid certification or higher, or willingness to obtain

Strong youth development skills and enthusiasm for working with teens

Assist the Director of Education with the writing and monitoring of program budget(s)

Aid in the development and updating of curricula and community resources under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Education

Provide leadership, training, and direction to the program educators

Recruit and hire staff and volunteers; directly supervise program educators and volunteers; conduct performance evaluations

Collect and report program participant demographics and contact data utilizing data-tracking tools to reach grant deliverables

Collect and report program feedback from program participants, community stakeholders, and Program Advisory Council to modify program delivery or content

Manage attributes of the SFS Tessitura database pertaining to Education programs .

Manage Education budget documentation, including expense data, reconci li ations, reclasses, and budget research.

Oversee all program mailings, utilizing Education Department databases or Tess it ura contact to assemble lists and secure labels.

Provide support to the SFS Education Docent Chair; facilitate success of CFK Educat ion Docent Training and Docent activity.

Proofread all Education Department publications, schedules, and written communications.

Assist with archiving and digiti zi ng Education Department assets.
