Possesses experience with project management, from planning a scope of work to executing a project and managing progress

Computer experience, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Experience with programs related to the design of promotional materials and social media platforms/analytics

Assist with budget-related tasks, such as expenditure tracking and year-end closeout

Identify potential businesses or special events to attract the Santa Clarita business community and write correspondence related to those identified

Create promotional materials for various marketing campaigns, such as Shop and Eat Local and business attractions

Monitor, compile, and analyze social media content from partners and sponsors

Minimum of 7 years of experience in development, planning, project management, finance, or related fields.

Demonstrated leadership and management experience to integrate academic and administrative activities.

Collaborate and partner with regional leadership in education, government, industry, and non-profits in the development of regional economic development strategy

Obtain funding for economic development projects for the benefit of the university and surrounding community

Preferred: Experience in a non-profit, university or public sector environment.
