Overview An Early Childhood Assessor is a professional who evaluates the development of young children from birth to age five. They assess the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children in order to identify any developmental delays or disabilities. They also provide guidance and support to families and caregivers to help them understand and meet the needs of their children. Detailed Job Description Early Childhood Assessors are responsible for conducting assessments of children from birth to age five. They use a variety of methods to evaluate the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of children. This includes observing the child’s behavior, interviewing the child and their family, and administering standardized tests. They also review medical records and other relevant information. After completing the assessment, the Early Childhood Assessor will provide a written report of their findings and recommendations. Early Childhood Assessors also provide guidance and support to families and caregivers. They help them understand the needs of their children and provide resources and strategies to meet those needs. They may also provide referrals to other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists. Job Skills Required
