Overview A Drone Pilot is a professional who operates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for commercial, recreational, or research purposes. Drone Pilots are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of UAVs, as well as the maintenance and repair of the aircraft. Detailed Job Description A Drone Pilot is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of UAVs. This includes pre-flight inspections, flight planning, and the operation of the aircraft. Drone Pilots must also be familiar with the regulations and laws governing the operation of UAVs in their area. They must also be able to troubleshoot and repair any issues that may arise during flight. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of UAVs and their operation
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and laws
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair UAVs
• Ability to read and interpret maps and charts
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• FAA Part 107 certification
• Previous experience operating UAVs
• Previous experience in aviation
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of UAVs and their operation
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and laws
• Knowledge of aviation safety procedures
• Knowledge of navigation and flight planning
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair
Job Experience
• Previous experience operating UAVs
