Two or more years of related work experience, or a relevant combination of education, training, and experience

Well-developed research and analytical abilities

Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

Competent clerical skills and strong attention to detail is necessary for all roles

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to follow defined procedures, policies and precedents

Working knowledge of Reg E, Z, data privacy and other regulatory requirements for dispute management

Manage inbound escalations from multiple sources to resolution and identification of potential processing problems requiring escalations to product and engineering teams

Coordinate with our Issuing Bank partners to ensure that Marqeta is compliant with their requirements for monitoring, reporting, and dispute resolution.

3 - 5+ years of relevant experience (financial services, payment industry, etc)

Experience in direct customer interaction; ability to talk through complex cases and render positive outcomes

Ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously; highly motivated and able to work against aggressive schedules

Skilled at collaboration and relationship management through building trust, credibility and teamwork.

Aid Market Teams in the management of Emergency and Crisis situations as needed and directed.

Highly organized with experience prioritizing multiple functions and tasks while managing time efficiently without compromising quality

Ensure that resolutions involving compensation are consistent and equitable based on unique circumstances and similar incident resolutions.

Facilitates the tracking, follow ups and timely resolution of all tasks.

Manage internal collection queue with varying stages of delinquency and past due balances.

Minimum of three (3) years collections experience in consumer or commercial collections.

General knowledge of collections regulations.

Initiate contact with delinquent borrowers on a consistent basis via outbound call and email communications.

At least 2 years of experience with the dispute management process for a fintech company, startup, or bank

Strong Microsoft Office or Google Workplace skills; ideally experience using Slack

Manage the end-to-end process of investigating card fraud and transaction disputes

Manage reporting to our banking partner and internal stakeholders

Interest in or experience with process improvement for back-office operations (ideally in a financial services environment)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams
