Professional certification in clinical area or management within one year of hire preferred

Approves new hires, establishes and enforces performance appraisal standards, collaborates with managers to identify staffing requirements, and ensures appropriate staffing levels.

5+ years of progressive clinical experience

Previous Director Experience running a large OR with multiple service lines including CV, Neuro,Orthopedics,General Surgery ,Oncology ect

Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited school of professional nursing required. Master's degree preferred

Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing

Participates in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.

Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.

Participates in all admissions decisions, and may visit prospective residents before admissions.

Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.

Possess at least two years of supervisory experience, displaying your strong leadership and team management skills

Assist in the preparation and administration of the department's budget, ensuring responsible financial management

Exhibit excellent organizational and planning abilities, allowing you to create and execute effective nursing service programs for the residents

Assume full responsibility for the center in the absence of the Administrator, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the quality of care

Collaborate with the regional office, making recommendations for necessary changes in policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and resident well-being

Take charge of recruiting, selecting, coaching, disciplining, and terminating employees within the Nursing Department, fostering a supportive and professional work environment

Develop, maintain, and periodically update written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department.

Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator, as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.

Assist the Quality Assessment & Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies.

Assist with discharge planning and perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies charting, etc.

Current State Licensure in the state where practicing is required. Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification are required.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance and Continuing Care Retirement Community or Assisted Living/Memory Support operations.

Unencumbered and current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Michigan with nursing practice experience for at least five years.

Demonstrated satisfactory experience with teaching in an RN program for at least two years, coupled with teacher evaluation and training experiences.

You will have the ability to lead clinical program and nursing project management including planning, executing, and evaluating projects.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in the nursing field

Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change to positive outcomes

National nursing certification strongly preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work under pressure

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to form positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.

Requires broad management knowledge to lead a team within a department or unit.

Manages a large team typically comprising of other Managers and/or experienced professionals.

Manages large team which would typically consist of both experienced professionals and managers.

Experience in geriatric nursing or gerontology and dementia care (preferred).

2+ years of experience in a health care supervisory role (preferred).

Solid computer and keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellent written communication skills including proper grammar and professional writing.

Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of associates, residents and family members.

Ability to apply reason, logic, and advanced problem solving skills to resolve complex and/or sensitive issues.

Three to five years management experience preferred

Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care community or other related medical facility required
