Director Global Communications Jobs in Utah

Demonstrated management experience and leadership skills, including managing and leading across teams and managing up to executive leadership

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, including strategic planning and project management

Knowledge of statistical methods or randomized trials and experience in multiple sectors is strongly preferred

10+ years of experience in the field(s) of policy outreach, communications, fundraising and/or international development

Results-driven, flexible, self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, collaborative team player

Experience, comfort and expertise in public speaking to a variety of stakeholders, at various conferences and other public commitments

Produce and coordinate content and collateral for event purposes, including externally managed event and fulfilling event printing needs.

At least 4 years of related professional experience.

Strong creative and design skills with the ability to translate an idea to several formats, channels and platforms.

Experience using Drupal, Buffer, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Descript, Audiogram (or equivalents).

Experience managing social media channels, and producing and managing content calendars.

Self-starter able to manage multiple media production projects, including managing budgets with external vendors.

Cultivating cooperation, cross-training and skills development among Communications Team; and

Managing and writing internal and external communications materials (e.g. briefings, speeches) and ensuring that all content meets message consistency and accuracy;

Managing the Communications Team - including media relations activities, social media and website, scripts, special events, and speaking engagements;

Building and fostering long-term working relationships with media and with the communications colleagues in other government agencies.

Manage internal coordination of the communications team by setting meeting schedules, developing agendas, etc.

Experience with media relations and an understanding of the media landscape.

Established relationships with national media, experience forming close working relationships with journalists across the country.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, understanding of social media.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to be flexible.
