Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

Determines the individuals’ strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences by observing daily activities and reviewing records.

Experience working with MH/IDD population.

Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA), Direct Support Professional (DSP), Direct Care Professional (DCP) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred.

Must have the following technical skills – Word, Excel and Electronic Health Record (Care Logic)

Act as an advocate for the individuals and demonstrate respect and positive regard for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors.

Working knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports (PBS).

Ability to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and/or limited mobility (such as lifting, transporting).

Provide supports to individuals on behavioral unit who exhibit challenging and extreme behaviors.

Complete daily reports and collect information necessary to document incidents that occur during the shift.

Working and ministering to Adults 18-50 years old

We presently only have housing for single staff with no dependents

Must be able to regularly and confidently drive a 15-passenger van

Must understand concepts of mentoring, nurturing, speaking the truth in love, and serving one another in love

Inform the program manager of any abnormalities or trends revealed by the program data.

Assists with psychoeducational groups and activities for clients throughout the day as needed.

Minimum 1 year experience working in a medical/mental health setting.
