Digital Forensics Analyst Jobs

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, techniques, and tools in digital forensics and contribute to the continuous improvement of forensic capabilities.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working within a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment as a performing cyber forensics analyst.

Knowledge of forensic processes for acquiring and analyzing digital evidence from computers, mobile devices, and network logs.

Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to digital evidence handling, chain of custody, and privacy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex digital evidence and provide accurate and detailed reporting.

Excellent documentation and report writing skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Experience providing IT support for law enforcement operations.

Past experience with Digital Forensics

Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.

Ability to multitask and function in a quick-paced environment.

Previous work with sensitive digital media, DVRs, computers, computer systems and mobile devices

Knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and SIEM technologies; Splunk or ArcSight experience

Knowledge and experience with scripting and programming (Python, PERL, etc.) are also highly preferred

Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocols

Bachelor-s degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge of Windows, Linux operating systems

Oversee incident response tasks and train junior staff

Demonstrated experience in providing similar services to other clients, specifically government clients.

EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) or GCFA certification

5-7 years of experience in Cyber Security

Possess a certification such as GCIA GREM

Have experience doing the job in a lab setting (not just in a SOC environment)

Experience working with virtual machines

Experience working with sandbox products (Joe's, Cuckoo, VM Ray...)

Experience working with malware analysis tools (Ghidra, Ida Pro.... )

In-depth knowledge and experience of Wifi networking

In-depth knowledge and experience of network topologies - DMZs, WANs, etc.

8+ years of directly relevant experience in network investigations

In-depth knowledge of CND policies, procedures and regulations

In-depth knowledge of standard protocols – ICMP, HTTP/S, DNS, SSH, SMTP, SMB, NFS, TCP/IP

Substantial knowledge of Splunk (or other SIEMs)

Experience in the use of digital forensic tools such as Encase and FTK in an enterprise environment
