Designer Iii Cad Jobs in Virginia

Effective communication skills, both written and oral

Experience with designing sheet metal, piping, electrical, and assemblies.

3-5 years’ industry experience with Associates degree, or equivalent experience

Generates CAD models, drawings, parts lists, and assembly drawings for Munters products .

Supports new product development with conceptual designs and layouts, as needed.

Participates in Kaizan and other cross functional teams to improve designs

Work closely with engineering, purchasing, production, and other teams to ensure design work meets requirements.

A High School diploma is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred and may substitute for experience.

A minimum of eight (8) years of related experience is required.

Must have knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.

General knowledge of project engineering activities (task plans, schedules, etc.) is required.

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Assists in developing standardized product offerings and producing drawings and/or images for marketing materials

Detail oriented with strong organization skills

Able to manage multiple projects at once

Experienced at hand-sketching your ideas on the fly

Creates detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD software

Produces submission drawings, production drawings, and installation drawings

Possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent development training and/or hands-on experience in CAD Design or related engineering field.

Interpret and understand orthographic (2D) and isometric (3D) design software.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel) required.

Creating reposts and presentations for project management supervisors

5 years of experience as a Mechanical Designer

Experience with 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Inventor

Experience in drawing, dimensioning, and tolerancing, GD&T experience preferred

Working knowledge of manufacturing processes

Contributing to the designs of new products and improvements to existing products
