Cad Designer Jobs

Novawall Systems, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to join the fast-growing Novaform Division in our Alexandria, Virginia office. Novaform delivers both standardized and custom acoustical solutions to a nationwide commercial interiors market. As a member of the Novaform design team, the CAD Designer will be instrumental in bringing to life unique, creative product offerings.

Responsibilities:

• Works with Design Lead and outside customer/architects to develop original designs
• Creates detailed 2D and 3D designs using AutoCAD software
• Assists in developing standardized product offerings and producing drawings and/or images for marketing materials
• Produces submission drawings, production drawings, and installation drawings

You Are:

• Excellent at both verbal and visual communication
• Degreed or Certified in a related field - preferred
• Able to manage multiple projects at once
• A critical thinker and creative problem solver who can think three dimensionally
• Previous work in the architectural field is a plus
• Adept at visually explaining potentially complicated product assembly and installation instructions
• Technically oriented
• Comfortable in both self-directed and team environments
• Proactive and self-directed
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills
• Experienced at hand-sketching your ideas on the fly
• Familiar with architectural elevations and plans

Software Skills:

Must Haves:

• Strong MS Excel skills
• Skilled in Photoshop
• Skilled in 3-D AutoCAD
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience with MS Office

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Illustrator
• Experience with InDesign
