Certification as a correctional officer may be required based on the state or federal requirements.

High school diploma or equivalent certification required.

Monitors the recording of detainee telephone calls in accord with contracting agency policies and procedures.

May participate in contracting agency gang identification and tracking programs.

Responds to major institution unusual occurrences as trained.

Prepares various records and reports as required.

Highly desired skills include experience creating and modifying wiki-type websites (HTML), such as that used in Intellipedia

Cyberspace operations targeting nuclear capabilities

Demonstrate specialized experience, or training on, human targeting (e.g., Joint CI & HUMINT Analysis & Targeting Course (JCHATC), or similar course)

Demonstrate strong writing skills suitable to clearly, concisely, and logically communicate analytic findings to a diverse set of clients

Experience or training performing staff officer/action officer duties in a Joint Environment

Nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3)
