Dental Hygenist Jobs

Coordinate dental services and assist Dentist with patient care, instruments, supplies, documentation and support the function of the dental department.

Assist in documentation and maintenance of all patient dental records.

Assist in triaging and scheduling of all dental sick call requests

Prepare clinic with appropriate instruments and materials for scheduled visits

Assist Dentist during treatment by providing instruments, materials, retraction or suction

Mix and fabricate all restorative materials

Administers preventive dental hygiene programs by performing dental screenings, surveys, education, referrals and follow-up.

Collects, evaluates, and distributes materials from periodicals, pamphlets, films, and other sources on dental health education.

Develops educational materials for presentation to internal partners.

Packing, loading, transporting and setting up portable dental equipment and supplies for each preventive program.

Complies with State, Tennessee Department of Health and Federal guidelines to ensure compliance with standards.

Measure, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard controls and hazard control programs to ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements

NNL is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join the Kesselring Site Safety and Health team!

Experience with the selection and use of industrial hygiene monitoring equipment

Ability to manage multiple short- and long-term work deliverables in a team environment

Assists in the oral health management of all clinic patients.

Integration of appropriate patient dental hygiene care with other health care professionals involved in the patient’s health care management.

Assists in the provision of technical assistance and health education in the community as requested.

Obtains baseline oral hygiene assessment data based upon accepted principles of oral hygiene and periodontal care.

May organize and perform preventive oral health presentations at on-site and off-site locations.

Participates in the QI program of the Dental Department of the center.

Educating inmates on oral healthcare;

Examining teeth and diagnosing patients’ dental conditions;

Maintaining inmates dental records (DOC is in the process of implementing an Electronic Health Records system and procuring dental digital x-rays);

Through the established processes, refer patients to oral surgeons as needed.

Additional experience/specialized training/certifications may be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. (R)

Research, analyze, and investigate member benefits, policy and procedures for claims, grievance and appeal cases.

Utilize specialized knowledge to analyze and resolve issues with dental claim coding.

Identify the need for new messages to clarify the Explanation of Benefits; contribute to/develop message changes.

Certification as Dental Hygienist or Claims Coding (R)

2 –3+ years of related experience, including experience in a clinical dental environment. (R)
