Implements legal and regulatory policies, procedures, and requirements for access and disclosure of Protected Health Information.

Reviews diagnostic and therapeutic medical records for completeness and accuracy.

Monitors facility compliance with respect to the confidentiality of resident information and complies with HIPAA policies and procedures.

Assists facility staff with resolving problems of medical records maintenance and establishing acceptable terminology in all related documentation.

Provides assistance to clinical staff on health records policies and procedures and entering proper data into health records.
