Overview A DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) is a professional who specializes in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and conditions of the oral cavity. They are responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, including preventive care, restorative care, and cosmetic dentistry. Detailed Job Description A DDS is responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to patients, including preventive care, restorative care, and cosmetic dentistry. They must be able to diagnose and treat a wide range of dental conditions, including cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. They must also be able to provide advice and education to patients on proper oral hygiene and nutrition. Additionally, a DDS may perform minor surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions and root canals. Job Skills Required
