Dairy Data Specialist Jobs

Presents new product ideas to management and once approved help commercialize new product(s).

Compile records and report on sales activities in sales management software (CRM/Salesforce).

Execute sales and marketing programs that have been developed by marketing and approved by management.

Keeps management up-to-date on market conditions and competitive situations.

Complete all other assigned tasks as requested by supervisor and/or executive management in a timely fashion.

Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

Must have experience managing a successful dairy with a track record of producing the highest quality milk

Knowledgeable in disease control, have the ability to identify illness, injury treatment, pregnancy checking and other animal health activities

Able to manage and motivate employees through positive leadership

Supervise and coordinate activities of health technicians, feeders, bedders, maternity, nursery, milkers, and other supporting staff

Promote safety and professionalism at all times

Rotating schedule with 50 plus hours per week

Proven organizational and time-management skills

Fundamental competence utilizing current technology as a management and program delivery tool (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Internet and Web development)

Knowledge and experience in current and emerging issues and production practices related to the dairy industry in western New York

Knowledge of the philosophy, objectives and operation of an informal education system such as Cornell Cooperative Extension

Strong leadership and teamwork skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Manage receiving, invoicing, pricing, inventory and shrink to ensure product control and profit goals.

Effective interpersonal, leadership, communication and customer service skills

Ability to read/interpret documents; Basic math skills

Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working/shopping environment.

Provide friendly/efficient customer service; demonstrate sincerity, patience and respect.

Develop effective work plans based on analysis of sales projections, budgeted labor goals and operating results.

Uses knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products

Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product preparation

Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment

Examines the rotation of all dairy products paying particular attention to expired stock and discarding outdated or spoiled items

Responds positively to customer’s inquiries and assists customers with purchases, information, and product selection; requires selling and cross selling of products

Receives, inspects, and logs products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality
