Cyber Security Analyst Engineer Jobs in Illinois

Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Information Security role conducting information security investigations and related responsibilities

Demonstrated understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls, audit and related standards

Produce, manage and maintain risk and compliance documentation

Bachelor’s degree (must be from an accredited institution) in Information systems or business related major or equivalent experience required

Security+ Certification or the ability to become certified within 1 year required

Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills

Conducting penetration testing and ethical hacking to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors do.

Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards.

Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.).

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Management of security controls assessment artifacts in DoD eMASS in preparation of packages for RMF (DoDI 8510.01, NIST SP 800-37) processes.

Application and system assessment, determination of accreditation requirements (Assess Only, ATO, IATT, etc.).

Establishment of Security Requirements Traceability Matrix which identifies applicable DISA STIGs and SRGs.

Experience in Engineering Cyber Tools
