Custom Event Planner Jobs

3 – 5 years corporate event planning/management experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office and preferred experience in Salesforce

Associate degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.

Evaluate and select vendors and providers of services considering stakeholder requests and requirements.

Consult with stakeholders to determine objectives and requirements.

Manage accounting operations relating to registration, including daily accounting procedures and reports, final monetary summaries, and/or account transfers.

Offer potential clients a comprehensive price quote for destination packages

Strong ability to communicate in writing and speaking

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Discuss itinerary options with clients and suggest destinations, transportation methods and lodging possibilities depending on the clients' interests

Coordinate payment schedules for itinerary packages or other trip components with clients and process authorized payments

Excellent and quick decision-making skills

Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

- Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational abilities to manage complex event logistics.

- Proficiency in event management software, productivity tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

- Familiarity with the Detroit community and understanding of its cultural, social, and civic landscape.

Associate degree (AA) or equivalent for two-year college or technical school; Bachelors degree in Hospitality or equivalent experience preferred.

Solid skillset in project management - running event projects from start to finish.

Project management of multiple, concurring events from conception to final review

Communicate updates to and assist with presentations for the company's management team.

Coordinate with Foundation's education, client support, sales, and marketing departments

Manage inventory of marketing materials, promotional items, tradeshow assets and other event collateral

Keep track of event finances, including check requests, invoicing, and reporting.

Provide clients with information such as advisories and passport requirements

Prior experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
