Cultural Resource Specialist And Architectural Historian Jobs in Utah

Meets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualification Standards for Architectural History.

Demonstrable experience in conducting archival research, building and/or cultural landscape and trails inventories, and reporting.

Experience with preparing nominations for the National Register of Historic Places.

Experience with National Historic Trails.

Experience preparing Historic American Buildings Survey, Historic American Engineering Record, Historic American Landscape Survey, and National Historic Trails documentation.

Conducting historic preservation fieldwork, including documentation of historic buildings, structures, sites, objects, and districts.

5 years of professional historical research experience (includes educational experience)

Strong written and oral communication skills evidenced by publication and conference presentation record

Knowledge of relevant primary and secondary source material

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Performs complex historical research into casualty resolution and unidentified remains interred in U.S. cemeteries

Conducting research accurately and within professional standards under the supervision of project management.

Meeting deadlines and performing all assigned tasks according to professional and Church History Department standards.

Planning and conducting oral history interviews.

Contributing to a collegial and professional atmosphere that incorporates the highest standards of behavior and cooperation, promoting teamwork and group purposes.
