Assist with data entry and reporting.

Meet and maintain KCAO employment requirements which include:

Supports the agency in MCAH/AFLP Quality Assurance (QA) efforts.

Assist the agency with addressing challenges, and make informed decisions to best meet the needs of youth in MCAH programs.

Participates in local stakeholder forums and steering committees.

Participates in meetings (no less than monthly) with CDPH/MCAH to inform of programs that serve expectant and parenting young people.

Minimum Qualifications & Transferrable Skills

Experience with major donors such as USAID, DFID, the EC and relevant foundations and corporations is required.

Strengthen capacity with Mercy Corps staff and partners to better design and implement programs.

Design or input into qualitative and/or quantitative tools and/or collect/analyze data to determine young people’s needs, assets and priorities.

Work closely with country leaders to influence their engagement and support of program pre- positioning, development and implementation.

Contribute to agency-wide initiatives that elevate youth, including adolescents, in programming and strategy.

Collect demographic, monitoring and evaluation data from workshop and training participants; compile data appropriately and prepares submission and periodic reporting

Analysis of how systemic oppression and racism impacts communities of color.

1+year of experience overseeing contract, vendors, and program management.

Oversee contracts, vendors, and program management for the Youth Opportunity Fund.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Manages program decision-making processes involving the community, intergovernmental representatives, and the City.

Manage grantee scope of work, schedule, and budget.

Utilize promotional skills and multi-media platforms to market the Youth Opportunity Fund.

Strong time-management, organizational skills, and attention to detail;

Ensure young people who are aging out can access and maintain stable, affordable housing and build independent living skills.

A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience working with young people; OR

An Associate or other accredited vocational degree, and 3+ years of experience working with young people; OR

Lived experience is a major plus!

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Ensure safety and security by constantly observing residents to evaluate their behavior and to ensure compliance with facility rules.

Conduct resident counts daily and conduct room and area searches as needed to ensure contraband is not present in the facility.

Perform crisis intervention with residents, attend individual and group counseling sessions, and lead Guided Interaction Therapy sessions on a daily basis.

Maintain the facility through supervised resident cleaning activities on a daily basis.

Prepare written unit reports to document shift activities including logs, incident reports, progress reports and other communication material as needed.

Assist with the intake and discharge of residents as needed.

6 months to a year experience working with youth

Be a positive role model for children (in and out of the facility)

Proficient in computer knowledge & skills (i.e. Microsoft Windows software); familiarity with the Google Suite is desired.

Meet with the clients, according to program requirements, to model and practice activities of daily living

Possess sound judgment and knowledge of adolescent development and behavior.

Display organizational skills and highly adept at managing multiple tasks and assignments.
