Cowlitz Seasonal Laborer Jobs

Assist in maintaining park managed facilities, athletic fields, irrigation systems and public playgrounds

Trim trees and bushes along city roadways

Pick up debris/trash along right-of-ways

Maintain existing public open space areas, empty trash cans, etc.

Clear brush, pull weed, rake, dig and perform miscellaneous gardening duties in and around municipal facilities and grounds

Clean public restrooms at various city parks and buildings

Performing data entry related to parks assets, work order management, and other relevant platforms

Public Works maintenance and construction activities

Picking up and removing trash

Performing other duties as assigned

Basic equipment such as shovels, rakes, small power mowers, spray equipment and pneumatic tools

Safety techniques for removing litter, cleaning hardscapes and assisting in basic landscape maintenance labor in the City's parks

(Experience in one of the following is required)

Perform related duties and manual labor as assigned

Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds

Possession of a valid driver’s license

Ability to maintain working relationships with co-workers

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions

Must be self-directed, and prepared to take on additional responsibilities when asked

Strong technical skills a must

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to work with all levels of employees

Must be a team player

Willingness to work Over Time

Mow turf, operate weedeater, edge

Water landscape, weed beds, and remove limbs

Perform other related duties as assigned

16 years of age or more

Some experience performing grounds maintenance, mowing and weed eating, or similar manual labor;

Licenses, Certificates And Other Requirements

Completion of the eighth grade.
