Counseling Attorney Jobs

Other: Excellent written and oral skills required. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease process of substance abuse and mental illness.

Experience: Two years experience in Mental Health Profession.

Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education

Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or in process to be completed within 2 years.

Annual contribution of $100 per month to eligible co-workers enrolled in the Dependent Care FSA

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

In-depth knowledge of legal environments and legal practice experience is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of the legal employment market is necessary

Exemplary administrative, analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as excellent oral and written proficiency required

Work independently within broadly defined work objectives

Clinical experience, preferably with diverse populations (e.g., BBIPOC, gender, SES, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, veterans, disabilities, refugee/immigrant populations).

Proven experience in teaching, preferably in both in-class and online modes of educational delivery.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

Foster a respectful, empowering learning environment that contributes to a positive student experience.

Fulfill the instructional responsibilities of planning for course activities, appropriate teaching methods, and assessment of student work.

Connect class presentations and activities to course learning objectives as set forth in the course guide.

Must have an undergraduate degree.

Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program that is either a MA in Counseling, Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy.

Must be enrolled in a practicum class at the same time you are accruing trainee hours for graduation.

It is a 12-month commitment

Required to be present 20 hours a week.

Utilizes classroom management techniques conducive to an effective classroom climate.

Manages classroom and supervises proper care of equipment used.

Responsible for timely and accurate information they maintain as part of their job responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Certification or eligible for certification by the Florida State Department of Education to teach in the State of Florida
