Two (2) to three (3) years of related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English. Articulates and embraces hospice philosophy.

Attends and participates in staff meetings, educational programs and community events, as requested.

Contacts insurance companies for pre-certification authorization.

Explains hospice services and benefits to patients, family members, and significant others, if needed.

Experience communicating with physicians, nurses and other healthcare personnel highly preferred.

Excellent typing/data entry skills and experience working with computerized information systems required.

Configure, maintain and manage CAS (centralized application system) for assigned graduate program(s) to reflect program-specific admissions scoring rubrics and application procedures.

Perform high level data entry and information retrieval tasks using the student records systems and other University sanctioned software programs.

Excellent reading, writing and organizational skills.

Strong group speaking/presentation skills as well as individual interviewing/advising skills.

Comprehensive understanding of the educational goals and objectives of the institution and specific graduate and professional programs.
