Contract Manufacturing Manager Jobs

5+ year’s previous experience in sales, manufacturing, engineering and/or other Supply Chain functions.

Excellent communication skills - both formal and informal with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.

Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Engineering, Business or Finance

Responsible for the day-to-day customer relationship, and is the primary contact for customer buyer.

Upstream Manufacturing - responsible for cell growth, from inoculation in spinner flasks, managing growth all the way through large scale bioreactors.

Utilizing automated systems to operate, clean and sterilize production equipment

Operating small-scale cell culture areas and systems by using aseptic techniques, maintaining cell banks; and performing general seed lab operations

Operating fermenters, centrifuges, other harvest systems and protein purification units

Operating and cleaning fixed tank and filtration systems

Operating large scale column chromatography systems

Timely completion of training assignments to ensure the necessary technical skills and knowledge are applied compliantly during GMP operations

Perform tasks in a manner consistent with safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements

Update and revise manufacturing operating procedures that are technically sound, promote effective and efficient operations, and comply with cGMP requirements·

Must maintain and apply knowledge regarding donor information, screening and testing, labeling and product acceptability and release criteria

Bachelors or Associates in relevant science or engineering discipline with 0-2 years of experience in cGMP biologics or cell therapy manufacturing

Cell culture processing experience in handling and propagation of human primary cells is strongly preferred

Implement strategic management of third-party manufacturing partners aligned with business goals, quality standards, and timelines.

Foster strong, long-term relationships with external partners, ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery benchmarks.

Conduct regular performance evaluations of third-party manufacturers, addressing areas for improvement collaboratively.

Oversee issue resolution related to manufacturing, coordinating with internal teams such as quality, engineering, and logistics.
