Experience in identification and implementation of process optimization solutions

Collaborates with operations manager and/or plant engineering on modification of equipment and processes to reduce cost and improve efficiency and quality.

Follow all environmental rules and regulations to ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in an environmentally responsible manner.

4-year Chemistry, Engineering degree or equivalent experience, 3-5 years experience

Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies and ability to teach and model them.

Ability to influence, mentor, and coach to get results through others.

Promptly report Safety, Health or Environmental issues or incidents to management.

Any additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

Eight or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Prior training and certification in Lean Six Sigma as a Green Belt, Black Belt or higher preferred.

Preferred experience in data analysis and statistics, including Minitab or other statistical software.

Identifying improvement projects and prioritize available resources to meet company goals, including Safety, Cost, Quality, Digitalization, Sustainability, and Production.

Support the generation of statistical data for operations, sales, and management.

Experience in Continuous Improvement Principles required. Black Belt Six-Sigma Certification preferred.

Excellent communication skills - written; internal email, correspondence with customers, managers, etc.

Experienced in training and implementing Lean Manufacturing in a working environment preferred.

Minimum 5 years of operations experience preferred.

Good organizational skills - collecting and analyzing data, maintaining status reports, managing lab samples, conducting corrective action follow-ups.
