Computational Linguist Jobs in Maryland

Demonstrated experience delivering real‐world software solutions using Natural Language Processing, machine translation, and data analysis skills

Assess business applications to apply and/or enhance natural language processing, including design, implementation, algorithms, user experience, and performance.

Experience with compiling and applying ground truth data sets to include understanding training sets, supervised machine learning, precision, recall, and fscore

Experience with TSA systems and environment

Understanding of MENA (Middle Eastern/ North African) languages and naming conventions

2-4 years of experience performing analysis using Chinese language skills

Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 6-8 years of experience

In lieu of degree, 4 years of experience can be supplemented

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Perform collection of publicly available Chinese languge source documents, either using in-depth subject matter expertise in conjunction with cutting-edge software tools.

Conduct target language open-source research and compiling research findings into comprehensive reports in support of specific intelligence requirements

BA degree and 4 - 7 years of prior relevant experience

Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree

ILR Skill Level 3 in Audio or Graphic

Excellent written and verbal communication, competent cross-team collaboration abilities

Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with personnel from diverse cultures

Implement procedures for model qualification to evaluate impact of uncertainty and variability on model output

Knowledge of molecular and cellular biology and drug development

Strong data visualization skills, including interactive visualization (e.g. R Shiny or d3.js)

Skilled in statistical and machine learning methods

Conduct research into approaches for mechanistic modeling of biological processes and determine suitability for specific applications

Collaborate with other computational biologists and engineers to integrate models into large multiscale models spanning processes from organ to molecular level
