Job Description
Overview:
Integral Federal is looking to hire a Data Science Engineer to support the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Performance Engineering Analytics (PEA) program. The PEA program will support TSA as they continue to look for ways to enhance its layered approach to security through new state-of-the-art technologies, expanded use of existing and proven technologies, improved passenger identification techniques, and other developments that will continue to strengthen anti-terrorism capabilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess business applications to apply and/or enhance natural language processing, including design, implementation, algorithms, user experience, and performance.
  • Develop, update, and apply ground truth data sets to name matching systems for the purposes of establishing baselines, evaluating configuration changes, and assessing effectiveness.
  • Understand, communicate, and model cultural name variants with an emphasis on Middle Eastern languages coupled with understanding of how name matching engines work internally for the purposes of developing specific software applications and/or making configuration changes to improve the efficacy of those matching engines.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Experience with compiling and applying ground truth data sets to include understanding training sets, supervised machine learning, precision, recall, and fscore
  • Demonstrated experience delivering real‐world software solutions using Natural Language Processing, machine translation, and data analysis skills

  • 10+ years experience
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Education and experience in Computational Linguistics with an emphasis on Middle Eastern names, and the ability to apply linguistics toward software based entity resolution (name matching).
  • Understanding of MENA (Middle Eastern/ North African) languages and naming conventions

Preferred:
  • Experience with TSA systems and environment
