Knowledge of building, construction, and maintenance

Participates in assessment and evaluation of DYCD facilities and NYCHA Cornerstone facilities.

Interfaces with NYCHA personnel and community residents to ensure that needs are being met.

Analyzes physical sites and recommends improvements.

Assists in reporting and ensuring that repairs to the sites are responded to expeditiously.

Basic organizational skills, ability to maintain/manage details of multiple projects.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Engagement and relationship-building skills. Comfortable speaking, listening, and engaging with people in their community.

Basic computer skills and/or ability to learn to use a computer and appropriate applications.

Advise Metro staff on engagement planning and materials.

Facilitate, participate in, coordinate and/or document focus groups or community conversations.

Excellent writing and editing skills;

A thorough knowledge of health communications, social marketing, health literacy, design, and public/media relations principles, practices, and techniques;

The ability to apply such knowledge to develop, implement, and evaluate public health communications messages, materials, and campaigns;

Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of public health;

Experience writing and developing communications materials, presentations, and written reports tailored to specific and non-technical audiences;

The ability to work independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with attention to detail;
