Commercial Electrician Helper Jobs in Florida

Some knowledge of powerline installation and repair of electrical systems.

Previous commercial electrical experience is preferred but not required.

Assists with the installation of various electrical system, both indoor and outdoor.

Perform duties assigned by the project foreman or leader in a timely manner.

Install and bend EMT, PVC, GRC, and other conduit and cable systems.

Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and ladders.

Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.

Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.

Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.

Work up to a 12 hour shift doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.

Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.

Use effective verbal and written communication skills

Pulls wiring through conduit, or other areas assisted by helper

Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement

Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems. Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment and supplies, Maintains tools and equipment

Be able to distinguish colors

Be capable of listening and communicating with other supervision and employees

Keep open communication with all levels of management related to all job functions.

Skilled in the use of tools, such as voltmeter, power tools, and hand tools.

Knowledge of power delivery and the ability to identify power delivery components.

Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

Occasional day shifts for emergency work (full week)
